One cup of pasta has about 1/6 of the recommended amount of carbs and about 10% of the recommended calories. However, studies have found that eating pasta had no adverse effects on people participating in a low glycemic index diet, and that weight-loss was not affected. Overall, when eaten in moderation and combined with a healthy sauce, pasta can be a great addition to your diet!
