What is Automated Farming?

As technology continues to evolve in the agriculture space, automated farming has become more and more prevalent and widespread. Simply put, it is exactly what it sounds like. The term refers to farming practices that have been made automated by machines, meaning no human labour is required. Some of these technologies include voluntary milking systems, self-driving tractors, programmed irrigating systems, etc. All of these technologies take out the human factor of the farming processes, meaning less labour and strain on the farmers. Additionally, the systems are often a lot more precise and efficient than if a farmer were to do them by hand, meaning that it increases the productivity and yield of the farm. As technology continues to evolve, more and more farming practices done by farmers are being replaced by machines, which has increased the efficiency of many farms and has helped many farmers evolve their businesses!
